Huh, this kind of explains a lot. The short version? Ike Perlmutter, the CEO of Marvel and largest shareholder of Disney, is getting sued over some 1000 threatening letters he allegedly sent to a neighbor over a dispute over a tennis club.
The court now wants him to release his company emails from Marvel to determine whether he mentions the guy at all… though since Perlmutter’s wife’s DNA was apparently found on some of the letters… Yeah, we could probably infer he was involved in some way.
Also, judging from the things he’s done or said in the past (such as literally saying that no one would notice the change in War Machine actors because “black people look the same”)
