We think that PC gamers get taken for granted far too often. Those who choose to play on PC are often subjected to shoddy console ports, driver problems, poor optimisation and game-breaking bugs, not to mention invasive DRM and launch delays of weeks or even months for some titles. We’re making this offer to show our support for PC gamers.
As such, we’re offering anyone who bought Arkham Knight for PC before midnight PST on 30th June, 2015 (digital or retail) a free copy of the entire first season of Supreme League of Patriots. well this isn’t necessarily a bad point. there are games with great stories and really awful shoehorned fighting sequences. then you also have handicapped/disabled gamers who don’t necessarily have the dexterity to finish a game but would still like to be able to.
optional “cakewalk” modes aren’t that bad of an idea.
aren’t you the guy who got permabanned off an entire community you used to moderate because no one liked you and you eventually tried to DDoS it
what if i want to just see the story of the game and dont want to actually play it? like??
as it is i would never pay for a bioshock game or a fallout game but i am very interested in the story. so i just watch youtube videos of it. they could get money from me if they sold the skip combat mode
i’m a games developer and an avid gamer and i really really think games should let you skip combat
honestly one of my favourite things about la noire was when you failed a sequence twice the game was like “yo do you just wanna skip this bit?”
the gaming industry/community has a huge problem with accessibility tbh. like, thank god for standardised control schemes (although bring back full customisation jfc not enough games have that anymore) but fights require time, literacy in both that type of gaming & in the individual game, you need to be able to navigate the system which can be anywhere from slightly difficult to hellish for people with visual/audio processing disorders. and tbh sometimes you just wanna enjoy the story and not get stressed the hell out doing the sAME FIGHT 700 times. it’s why i always put a game on easy/casual when I’m replaying unless i’m specifically going for difficulty based achievements.
not to mention SO MANY GAMES have either poorly designed battles or fights that have been shoved in for no reason other than to pad out the game (dxhr & da2 come to mind immediately) that sometimes it’d honestly improve the gameplay to just skip them altogetherIf the DA games had ‘skip combat’ modes I would replay the hell out of them (even more so than I do now). There are just so many ways the story can branch out and I want to explore them all but I don’t have the time to sit through the 30hours of combat that a play they on the easiest combat setting would require.
Aka I want to romance everyone but I hate slogging thru fights I’ve already done multiple times

On a whim, decided to re-create the Mushroom Kingdom 2 stage from Melee and found a problem with the stage maker. When the platform on the right is there, the ledge just to the left of it (on the center platform) just vanishes to the stage maker. I noticed the lack of a blue crosshair on that corner and sure enough, the game won’t recognize it in play.

This doesn’t make the least bit of sense for a whole list of reasons:
- The kid was in the backyard when he was rounded up by police.
- The parents are not identified, despite facing felony charges. Felony charges are a matter of public record.
- “Cindy” said she was fired, but later recanted and said her job was “on the line” instead. (Again, don’t want to give any clicks.)
- A professional journalist asked Skenazy to give him some details to verify the story, but Skenazy refused, saying, “[T]he mother might lose her job.”
- The story consistently refers to Florida’s Child Protective Services, except Florida’s version of CPS is the Department of Children and Families. To the allegedly aggrieved parents’ credit, at least they correctly call it DCF.
- I’m only seeing this pop up on a few right-wing blogs, no local newspapers or TV stations come up in a cursory Google search.
It’s not unusual for journalists to hide names for one reason or another, but to turn away an actual journalist from a super-juicy story like this where they can not only verify everything but also give this story wider exposure makes it seem like there’s a lot to hide. Especially after you were given a major boost in visibility on The Daily Show.
In case anyone is curious, this was written at 5am and queued for around 5pm.
